For Richard Early, being a wealth manager is about more than market watching or generating returns – it is an opportunity to help people manage one of the most important areas of their lives. “Finances can often seem overwhelming and intimidating – my job is to help our clients successfully navigate the investment world with confidence,” he says. Richard works closely with his clients to create, implement and manage lifetime investment plans designed to suit their unique situations and achieve their specific financial goals.

He began his career in the financial services industry in 1983 with Prudential before moving to PaineWebber, where he worked for 10 years. In 1997, he left PaineWebber to form Early McClintic & McMillan with his partners, Scott and Dan.

Richard is a graduate of the University of Houston, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He also holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation.

Richard has devoted his time and expertise to a variety of volunteer causes, having served in leadership roles with several local organizations, including Child Advocates of Fort Bend County, the Exchange Club of Sugar Land, Southminster Presbyterian Church and Southminster School. Richard has also chaired successful capital campaigns for Child Advocates and the Fort Bend Family YMCA, organizations for which he was named Child Advocate of the Year and Fort Bend Family YMCA Volunteer of the Year.

Originally from Marshalltown, Iowa, Richard came to Texas in 1967. He currently lives in Houston with his wife, Martha. They have two adult sons/stepsons, Tyler and Austin, two cats, Trixie and Lucy, and enjoy spending time together at their summer home in northern Michigan, where they love to host family and friends.
