Scott McClintic chose to pursue a career in finance for both professional and personal reasons. “Following the markets is very intellectually stimulating and challenging, and helping clients – people who really value professional advice and counsel – is fulfilling and rewarding,” he says. His calling is to guide clients in achieving their financial and investment goals and, ultimately, to help them build financial traditions that can last generations.

Scott’s career as an investment professional started with Prudential Securities in 1986. He moved to PaineWebber in 1988, where he worked for a decade before leaving with his partners, Richard and Dan, to establish Early McClintic & McMillan in 1997. He is a graduate of the University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in business management. He has held the Certified Financial Planner™ certification since 1992.

A community leader and accomplished fundraiser, Scott has served as past president, board member and active volunteer with the Exchange Club of Sugar Land. He has also served as chairman of the Fort Bend Family YMCA Board of Trustees and chaired the Y’s Outreach programs and its annual Partners of Youth scholarship drive for lesser-privileged children.

Born in San Francisco, California, Scott has lived in Texas since 1972. He currently resides in Houston with his wife, Sue. The couple has two grown sons, Ian and Andy. In his spare time, Scott enjoys volunteering, golfing, swimming, basketball, reading and attending Texas Longhorn football games.
