David Huddleston pursued a career in the financial services industry because of the unique opportunity the profession offers to develop lifelong relationships with his fellow Houstonians. A natural communicator and curious by nature, David enjoys getting to know his clients while seeking to serve them as a trusted advisor. Long term investing can be intimidating, and David works with the other professionals at Early McClintic & McMillan to create and maintain custom investment plans based upon his clients’ individual/family goals and comfort with risk. David believes that anything is achievable with hard work, dedication and discipline. Long term investing and retirement planning is no exception. He became partner at Early McClintic & McMillan in 2021.
David began his professional life in the oil and gas industry with Hess Corporation. During his seven years with the company, he had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles ranging from a supply chain specialist in South Texas and North Dakota to a drilling rig supervisor in Ohio. When David was ready to move back to Houston, he transitioned into commercial real estate brokerage with CBRE, where he spent three years. David focused on acquisitions/dispositions and leasing, specifically within the Industrial sector, and learned the importance of building strong relationships based on trust. David believes these attributes are essential in delivering superior customer service to clients.
David grew up in the small town of Ponca City, Oklahoma. He moved to Houston in 2000 and has proudly adopted the title of “Houstonian”. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution in 2011. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Mary, and their two adopted dogs, Lexie and Zoey. While he loves Houston, he looks for any excuse to travel and enjoy the outdoors.
